I worked as a Creative Director at CNB (Creating New Business), a design research group of the Corporate Design Center of Samsung Electronics in Seoul, Korea. I was responsible for managing the quality of three major product design projects. In the development process of these projects, I collaborated with research strategists, UX designers, senior industrial designers, communication designers, and Samsung’s major vendors. My teams and I created a total of 18 designs, including 3 tablets, 3 cameras, 4 laptops, 6 peripherals, and 2 UX designs. I hold 9 design patents from these designs.
Sponsored Projects
The Studio Duuri, my design company, completed two successful research projects sponsored by Samsung Electronics in 2013 and 2016. All of the project results have been presented internally at Samsung Electronics and have been widely utilized for thought leadership, influencing design directions, and shaping future design strategy and vision. My team explored deep research topics like wearable technology, user lifestyle, design elements, consumer psychology and gender issues.
